The wet saw produces clean and even lines, but it’s still a good idea to smooth the edges of the tile so they are less likely to cut you. Hold the stone at 45 degree angle on the front of the tile and run it over the edge to round it out. Smooth the entire edge of the glass tile. Polish Glass Bottle Edges After Cutting: Now that you have cut your bottle, it's important to sand off the sharp edges. I will also show you how to polish the cut.This bottle has 3 cuts. If you want to do multiple cuts, I recommend doing a cut, sand and polish it, then do the next cut. I...But it shouldn't be hard to do it yourself. All you need is a glass cutter and a way to roll the bottle while making a straight, even cut. I think you use a rod with a weight at the end to tap the cut from the inside of the bottle and break off the neck. Then you use emery cloth or grinding polish to smooth the edge of the cut.STEP 1: Using your cutter, score your bottle in one smooth continuous line (try to avoid stopping and going if you can). Do NOT push too hard on the glass, the score needs to be very thin and not too deep. Make sure the cut is always done at a 90 degree angle.
